Planning and Institutional Development


Generally the division provides support to the Chief medical Superintendent in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of interventions related to human resources for health, integrated health information systems, programme service delivery, monitoring the achievement of major global, regional and national targets (SDGs, HPP, Vision 2030, Vision 2060,NDPs) ; enhances and facilitate interaction with other relevant stakeholders on stakeholders issues. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the health work plan and policy against established health targets and performance indicators, and in accordance with the established policy and procedures; the following are specific: Formulation, implementation and evaluation of the Hospital Strategic plans, objectives outputs and outcomes Implementation and coordination of technical aspects of program implementation and achievement of expected results Support the design and management of effective information flows to, from and within the hospital ensuring awareness of, and adherence to key planning deadlines Regular assessments, to improve health service performance in order to provide quality health services that are efficient and equitable Support the development of strategic plans and guidelines related to strengthening hospital health programmes Epidemiological research studies; identifying and conducting research and use of research findings Use available and developed managerial tools for monitoring, evaluation and reporting; produces regular reports on implementation and achievements; ensure quality and standards in adherence to WHO protocols and guidelines Provides in-house training and organizes meetings/sessions on strategic and operational planning process for hospital management and staff.
