WCH BACKGROUND

The Windhoek Central Hospital was commissioned in 1982 and became fully operational as a health facility in 1984. After independence, the hospital remained a government facility and was identified as the National Referral Centre for specialized health care services. The hospital has a bed capacity of 855 patients. The uniqueness of the hospital lies in the variety of specialists for the country.

For ICU visitors at Windhoek Central Hospital, we allow a maximum of 6 designated individuals per patient. It's essential that these individuals are the same people visiting the patient every day until the patient is discharged.
